Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully. Please do not make any booking unless you understand and agree with the following conditions. References to “us”, “we”, and or “our”, shall mean Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort. We strongly recommend you acquire travel insurance.


Any ‘Specials” advertised on this site relate to NEW bookings only and will not be offered to a cancelled booking and re-booking.


PLEASE NOTE: MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL BOOKINGS (eg: zig zag booking, the inability to supply due to unforeseen circumstances, any booking errors, conflict of interest)


These terms and conditions apply to any bookings you make with us by phone, email, in person, or online. We will rely on the authority of the person making the reservation, to act on behalf of any other guests on the booking, and that person, will bind all such guests to these terms and conditions.


PAYMENT CONDITIONS 


A 50% deposit of your booking is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The Balance of your booking will be required 7 days prior to your check in date.  


DEPOSIT & PAYMENT 

Please be advised that reservations are not confirmed until the payment of the required deposit has been successfully processed and a booking confirmation sent. 

Keys will not be given out until full payment of balance has been received. 


*A 1.43% credit card surcharge will be charged for all MasterCard and Visa Card transactions processed via the website and telephone bookings. Credit Card Surcharge is non-refundable.


*International cards accepted, a surcharge of 1.43% is changed on all international credit card transactions.

Personal cheques and cash are not accepted as a method of payment for accommodation.


CANCELLATION POLICY

ALL SEASONS INCLUDING SPECIAL EVENTS PERIOD - CANCELLATION POLICY Due to the limitations of barge bookings to the Island - ALL bookings if cancelled 30 days or less, prior to arrival, guests will forfeit their deposit and will not be able to transfer their booking. ALL bookings cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival, will be able to transfer their booking to another date in the same apartment within 6 months - price adjustments may apply for transfers to higher rate periods. Final payment MUST be received in full 7 days prior to arrival. NO refunds will be given on day of arrival or once you have checked into the Resort.


Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. A secure PayLink will be emailed to you directly, please ensure you check your email and follow the link, a confirmation email will follow.


If you're concerned that you might not be able to make it, please purchase the insurance product available or purchase your own travel insurance elsewhere.


CONDITIONS OF STAY 

Guests are liable for all breakages and damage and loss of resort property. Late checkout fees apply after our standard 10:00 AM checkout time. Additional cleaning fees may be imposed for excessive mess and rubbish removal beyond normal housekeeping requirements. 

 

Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort reserves the right to apply charges. Guests will be contacted regarding any additional charges, and payment will be required within 7 days of notification. 


LATE CHECK OUT OR EARLY CHECK IN

Late check out, and early check in, may be available upon request where possible. Please request this prior to your arrival. There is an additional fee of : $25 (up to 12noon, if wanting longer and this is available the fee will be $50)


UNDER 18’s

All guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire stay. 

We reserve the right to refuse any booking if the parent/guardian cannot provide a current photo ID on check in.


NOISE 

Parties and Loud Music or Noise Levels are not permitted and will not be tolerated. 

Guests will be requested to leave the resort IMMEDIATELY without refund. 

Any damage to any resort property will be charged accordingly.


In the event of renovation or building work being carried out at the resort, we will endeavour to minimize any disturbance, noise or inconvenience you may experience as a result.


PARKING

Only ONE allocated undercover parking space is provided per apartment. There is visitor parking at the front of building.
